Rolland Howard Campbell

Rolland Howard Campbell, 87 was born April 11, 1924 in Shelbyville, Indiana and went to rest in Jesus on June 22, 2011. He is preceded in death by parents William M. and Fern (Poe) Campbell, brothers; Albert, George, Earl and Wayne, as well as sisters, Edna and Bernice. Rolland is survived by sisters Louise residing in Port Charlotte, Florida as well as Mary and Barbara living in Shelbyville, IN. Survivors also include his loving wife of 42 years Ruth from Ooltewah, TN, daughter Angela Ekanayaka and son-in-law Jay Ekanayaka of Chattanooga, TN; and three step-sons; Mike Foxworth of Anaheim, CA, Bob Foxworth of Jacksonville, FL and Dennis Foxworth of Ooltewah, TN. Rolland was employed by the Dept. of Army retiring after 35 years from Fort Benjamin Harrison in 1985. He proudly served as Sergeant in the Indiana State Guard from 1942-1947, then as a Captain in the Indiana Security Corps from 1955-1957. Rolland was a long-time member of the Irvington Seventh-day Adventist Church in Indianapolis, IN. At his death he was a member of the McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church in McDonald, TN. A funeral will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday June 26th at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park East with visitation from 11:00 – 1:00 PM Sunday. Entombment will be private at Washington Park East Cemetery.
