Roland 'Rollie' Brissman

Roland Brissman Peacefully ended his remarkable journey in this world on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Bernard and Frances, Rollie grew up in Indianapolis attending St. Joan of Arc, St. Pius X and Brebeuf's first graduating class of '66. He graduated from Colorado State University and spent much of his career as an executive with RCA, Xerox, and Canon USA. He married Catherine Benish of Denver in 1970, and together they moved to California. With business and investment success, they commissioned the construction of a 38 foot sailboat, and along with their beloved Irish Setter, embarked on a 16 month odyssey in the Eastern Pacific and Carribean. Always an outdoorsman, Rollie enjoyed hiking, camping, boating and fishing with Cathy until she passed away in 2007. After several years of loneliness, Rollie reconnected with his high school sweetheart Cynthia Jessup, moved back to Indianapolis, and married her in 2011. Rollie is survived by Cynthia, his father, siblings Gerry (Cindy), Jon, Joan Perkins (George), Bill (Randi), 5 nieces, 2 great nieces, and 2 great nephews. A memorial gathering for family and close friends will be held at Rollie's home at a future date. The family is being served by Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East.
