Roger Reeves

John “Roger” Reeves, 77, died peacefully at home in Nora on January 15, 2022.

Roger was born on July 14, 1944, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Jack and Jean Reeves. He graduated from Drake University with a degree in accounting and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. After several years crunching numbers for corporations, he threw away his suits and spent the rest of his working life as a self-employed general contractor on residential and commercial projects all across the metro area.

Roger was a lifetime athlete, from swimming to golf to adult softball. He was an active member of the Indianapolis Ski Club for many years, and skied all over the US, Canada and Europe. It was on one of these trips that he met his second wife, Debby, whom he married in 2013. His first marriage, to Beth Reeves, ended in divorce.

He is survived by his wife, Debby; daughter, Heather Reeves Hawkins (David) of Portland, OR; son, David Reeves (Krista) of Seattle, WA; brother, Tom Reeves of Bull Shoals, AR; and five grandchildren: Anna, Jack, Ben, Alden and William.
