Roger G. Lewis, 61, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2013.
He will be remembered by his daughters as "D.D. King of the Dads", which was a song he used to sing to them as children. This was just one of many examples of his willingness to act silly to make people laugh, especially children. He used his quick wit to make those around him feel happy and at ease. Roger was a hard worker and an avid bicyclist, and was also a marathon runner when he was younger.
He is survived by his daughters Ashley Lewis and Kelly (Jean) Bley, his parents Richard and Priscilla Lewis, his brothers Mark (Kim) Lewis, James (Kathy) Lewis, his grandchildren Hadrian Ward, Olivia Bley, Camille Bley and Nicole Bley, his girlfriend Debby Cullen, many nieces and nephews and friends.
Memorial Visitation will be Monday December 30th from 4-8pm and Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday December 31st at 11:00am located at Traders Point Christian Church (6590 S Indianapolis Rd – Whitestown)
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Roger's honor to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
