Rock Alan Crawford

February 24, 1960 — June 7, 2024

Rock Alan Crawford passed peacefully Friday June 7, 2024, at 2:22pm, surrounded by his dedicated wife and family. Rock was born on February 24, 1960, in Danville, IL to Clara Evelyn (Taylor) and Ronnie Lew Crawford. Rock was a graduate of Delphi Community High School. He married Elizabeth (Maki) Crawford on August 2, 1986. They were each other’s lifelong best friends and emotional support animals. They were blessed with four children, Cody, Hannah, Keegan, and Hayden.

Rock was truly a lifelong salesman. He always said, “it’s not about the product, its about the person” and that couldn’t have been more true. He finished out his career selling John Deere equipment to his favorite farmers. Aside from his accomplished career, he loved sitting at the bin with his wife, smoking meat on his Big Green Egg, fishing the lakes of Northern Minnesota, a casual round of golf with his boys, and a cold Budlight at Lake Freeman with his parents.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Maki) Crawford, his children Cody (Nikki) Crawford, Hannah (Travis) Marvin, Keegan (Mark) Dunn, and Hayden (Josh) Gillam. His parents Ronnie and Clara Crawford, Bertha N. Maki, mother-in-law, and his brother Chris Crawford. Six grandchildren Maddox and Ryatt Marvin, Aurora and baby Crawford coming September, Dawson Dunn, Crawford Gillam. He is also survived by Dr. Peter (Wink) Maki, Paul (Susan) Maki, Robert (Susan) Maki, and Karl (Kristin) Maki and countless beloved nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his beloved el puppo doggos, Evie and Ely.

Rock will be remembered for many things, but most importantly for being the best Husband, Father, and his favorite title PopPop. As Rock always said, he’s “livin the dream.”

A Celebration of Life will be on August 3, 2024, at the Crawford Compound, 572 S. 650 W. Delphi, IN 46923 from 1-5PM. In lieu of flowers, please come and share your favorite memories, photos, or mementos of our Patriarch.
