MRS. ROBIN WALLETTA TARDY was born on September 7, 1964, in Gary, Indiana to Robert and Brenda Ford. She graduated Horace Mann High School in 1982 then attended Brymans College in Chicago where she obtained her degree. For the past 27 years Robin worked for the State of Indiana in various capacities across an array of agencies, most recently she worked for the Indiana School of the Blind.

In the year of 1995, as a young woman she settled in Indianapolis, IN where she raised her two heart beats, TaShaya and Gerald Robertson Jr.

ROBIN loved the Lord, life and adored her family. Her infectious smile and great personality always comforted and provided a sense of security for those that she encountered. She celebrated life by expressing herself through her fierce sense of style. She was known for her signature hairstyles and her colorful accessories. Robin enjoyed each day to the fullest and lived a long productive life. She was kind and generous, often helping her friends in need and always keeping God first.

ROBIN accepted Christ in her life at an early age and for many years was an active member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, in which she served on the Usher Board, sang in the Choir, was the Treasurer, and Pastor’s Aid. In 2013, she answered her calling into the ministry becoming an Ordained Evangelist.

Evg. ROBIN Tardy went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 29, 2017 where she united with her parents, Robert and Brenda Ford, who proceeded her in death. She is survived by her husband Frank Tardy III, her children: TaShaya, Gerald Robertson Jr., Frank Tardy IV, Alexcis Tardy and Kevin Tardy; her grandchildren: Gervelle Robertson, Aleigha Weathers, A’Liiyah Jackson; her siblings: Robert (Tammy) Ford, Kathy (Paul) Jacque, Bobby (Johnetta) Ford, Keida Ford, Tissian Cardine, KenRycO Parker; her loving Uncle Hosea (Shirley) Givan, loving Aunt Shirley (Charles) Dowdell, and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
