Roberta Ann Townsend

Roberta Ann (Berry) Townsend 85, of Indianapolis, IN went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2014. She was born in Sandborn, Indiana on April 10, 1929 to Johnny Michael and Anna Belle (Fielder) Berry. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, sisters, Betty Finlay, Alma (Sis) Heim, Ruth Shanks, brothers, Joe and twin Robert Berry. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Haldon Townsend, daughters, Sandi Townsend and Janet Hall of Indianapolis, IN, son, Roger Townsend of Linton, IN, grandchildren, Jason Hall, Emiley (Kyle) Barcomb, Travis Townsend, great grandchildren, Jackson Hall and Sophie Grace Barcomb. Roberta worked in the cafeteria for the Decatur Township School Corporation for 28 years. She loved to cook , spend hours with her grandchildren and fishing with her husband. Services will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 6 PM at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur Twp. with visitation there from 2 PM. Additional visitation will be Monday, November 10th 10 AM-1PM with the funeral at 1PM at Lester Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Indiana. She will be laid to rest at Scotland Cemetery in Scotland, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Marwood Baptist Church of which she was a member.
