Robert William Schlagel

Robert William Schlagel, 74, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on July 20, 2022 at St. Vincent Heart Center.

He graduated from Northwest High School in 1965. Bob proudly served his country during Vietnam. He retired from the Marion County Sheriff Dept. in 2007. He also attended and served as a Deacon at the Avon Christian Church.

Bob married the love of his life in 1973, Angela “Angie” (Williams) Schlagel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Angie, children, Traci Mari Kelley, Andy Schlagel (LouAnn) of Omaha, TX, and Nancy Schlagel Barton (Billy) of Omaha, TX, brothers, Michael Schlagel (Barb), Kevin Hofmann (Vicki) of Charleston, SC, sisters, Karen Davison and Patty Adair (Ben) of Largo, FL, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and his loving pet chihuahua, Marco.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Visitation is from 10-12pm with the service following at 12pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd West Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46228.
