Robert W. Mittelstrasser, 57 of Indianapolis was born September 12, 1957 and died on March 25, 2015. He was born in Indianapolis, to Clayton and Alice Mittelstrasser. After graduating from Beech Grove High School he then served in the US Marine Corp. and later was a member of the American Legion. He worked as an Engineer/Heavy Equipment Operator for the Amtrak facility in Beech Grove for 24 years (retired in 2011) and was a member of Indian Creek Christian Church. He also loved working at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a wrecker driver and was an avid racing fan. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Denise, his daughters, Marlaina (Ryan) McGinley, Heather (Chris) Pruitt and Sara Mittelstrasser, two grandchildren, Hannah and Ethan and a sister, Jeanie Pace. His parents and sister, Peggy Hood precede him in death. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
