Robert Stephen Hirt

Robert Stephen Hirt 63, Passed away peacefully at his Indianapolis home after a year long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death bi his parents, Robert V. and Frances M. Hirt and a son Patrick. Steve was a proud United States Marine Corp Veteran of Vietnam (1968 – 1969). He graduated from Howe High School and Ivy Tech State College and had a varied career including Long Haul Trucker, Respiratory Therapist and Special Deputy. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; sister, Jan; son, Casey (Kristy); nephew, Josh; grandsons, Justin and Andy; granddaughters, Erykah, Ashlynn, and Kimberly; great grandson, Tyler; aunt and uncle, Otis and Nelda Futch of Florida and numerous caring cousins. Friends may call from 4 -6 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2012, with Funeral services beginning at 6:00 pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
