John Robert Rudolph, born July 13, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN. Died in Indianapolis, IN June 28, 2014.
Bob was an artist in every sense of the word. He was inspired by the design, shapes and the colors he found in nature and architecture. Professionally he used this talent as Interior Designer and owner of the former Contemporary Design Shop at the Fashion Mall in Indianapolis. Personally he found his passion in photography. He traveled the globe capturing the light and shadows in his photos. His ability to capture the essence of beauty in fine detail was particularly evident in his black and white photos. In recent years he gave up the darkroom and jumped into the digital technology world- continuing to capture beautiful images that endure.
Bob had a robust laugh and a contagious smile. He was a smart and engaging conversationalist. A lovely man who was a true friend, a loving father and a proud dog owner, Bob is sorely missed by all.
Survived by his mother, Lucille Stebe, son, James Robert Rudolph, and daughters, Maryann Hubbert, Lauren Pourmand, Nancy Humphrey and Susan Atwood; as well as his grandchildren, Andrea Smith, Sarah Rudolph, Robert Rudolph, Stephen Rudolph, Clorissa Gonzalez, Robbie Gonzalez, Michael Atwood, Melina Atwood and Jim Scott; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Contributions in his memory can be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
