Robert 'Rob' Perry Deakin

Robert "Rob" P. Deakin III, 46, died July 14, 2014. He was born March 12, 1968 in Beech Grove to Robert P. Deakin, Jr. and Vicki Lahrman. Rob had been a Private Investigator from 1996 to 2000 and worked with ADESA in management positions 2000 to 2009 then was a truck driver for the past 4 years most recently for Ryder. Rob was a United States Army veteran serving proudly in Kuwait with the 101st Air Borne. He enjoyed and played sports at Speedway High School and was a graduate of Plainfield High School. Also loved his motorcycle riding and being outdoors. He will be missed by his children he loved and other family and friends. Rob is survived by his children, Jenna, Justin, and Jessie Deakin; mother, Vicki Lahrman; father, Robert P. (Tammy) Deakin, Jr.; sister, Tracey Allen; Maternal grandfather, Robert P. Deakin Sr.; step-sister, Tyana Stanner and Ashley Deakin and step-brother, Tyler Deakin and may others. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur, 5463 Kentucky Avenue. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
