Robert Elwood “Rob” Gordon passed away in Carmel on June 28, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on May 17, 1969, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Robert brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone who knew him throughout his life.

He married his best friend (“his angel”) Betsy Anthony in 1991, and they spent many wonderful years by each other’s side here on Earth and are now back in each other’s arms in heaven. They were blessed with two children, who were Rob’s pride and joy.

Robert was a faithful follower of Christ, a dedicated father and husband. He spent his years working as a skilled cabinet and countertop maker, a profession where his sharp attention to detail, precision, and artistry truly shone.

Outside of his craftsmanship, he was a lover of history, going to concerts, listening to music and an avid outdoorsman. He was happiest traveling with his wife and family (especially to Canada), working on his home and landscape, out by the water fishing, or lost in the pages of a great book. Known for his adventurous spirit, steadfast faith, and warm heart, he left an indelible mark on both the homes he beautified and the hearts of many.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Charles Elwood Gordon, his mother, Jo Ann Gordon, and his loving wife, Mary "Betsy" Gordon. He is survived by his two children, son, Trent Gordon and daughter, Taylor (Evan) Stoller, his sisters, Cathy (Dan) Rudmann and Lori (David) Dowler, and his uncle, Don Robertson, along with cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. All who will carry his memory in their hearts.

A service to honor and celebrate Rob's life will be held from 12-2pm on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 E. Carmel Drive, Carmel, IN 46032, with a funeral service immediately following at 2pm. Burial will take place at Carmel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rob’s memory to Genesis Church or towards lung cancer research
