Robert R. Stierwalt

Robert R. Stierwalt, Jr., 78, of North Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Speedway, passed away on March 23, 2014. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on December 15, 1935 to Robert & Esther Stierwalt. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia (Dodson) Stierwalt; sons Robert Kirk & Richard Kevin Stierwalt; daughter Rhonda Kay (David) Lee; grandchildren Richard Kevin Stierwalt, Jr., Clayton Charles Lee, Kate Esther Lee and Amanda Jo Stierwalt, sister Mary Alice (James) Sprinkles and nieces & nephews. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Speedway Police Officer, earning the rank as Assistant Chief. He was a Greyhound bus driver and ended his work career as a CDL examiner for the state of Indiana. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 5 -8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home Thursday morning from 10-11am, with a Committal service in Lincoln Memory Gardens (Whitestown) immediately following.
