Robert Quackenbush III, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 60. Born in Indianapolis on May 7, 1964, Robert spent his life deeply rooted in the city he loved.
Robert dedicated over 30 years of his life to his career at Auto Value Parts, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to. His colleagues admired his expertise and reliability, and he will be remembered as a steadfast presence in the workplace.
He graduated from Lawrence North High School, where he laid a foundation for his future pursuits. Throughout his life, Robert had a profound passion for trucks and cars, a love that naturally extended to racing, particularly drag racing and the revered Indy 500. These interests brought him joy and a sense of community among fellow enthusiasts.
Robert is survived by his father, Robert Quackenbush Jr., and his stepmother, Deanna Quackenbush. He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter, Kelly (Jeremy) Evans, and his beloved granddaughter, Izzy Evans. Additionally, he is remembered by his stepsiblings: Annette (Tom) Dalton and William (Traci) Patton.
Preceding him in death was his loving mother, Judy Awly, who undoubtedly influenced his life with her unending care and support.
In honor of Robert’s life, a visitation will be held on December 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, funeral service to follow, at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East, located at 10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229. Family, friends, and all those whose lives Robert touched are invited to share in the remembrance of a remarkable man who embraced life with passion and kindness.
