Robert Arthur McKenzie, affectionately known to many as Bob, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on January 16, 1939, in Youngstown, Ohio, and lived a life rich with purpose, dedication, and love.

Bob had a distinguished career as a Field Service Engineer for RCA, where his analytical, thorough, meticulous, and detail-oriented nature truly shone. His work was marked by a commitment to excellence that was admired by colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bob proudly served his country as a Codebreaker in the U.S. Air Force Security Service during the Vietnam War Era, an experience he regarded as one of his proudest accomplishments.

A devoted husband of 50 years to Beverly "Sue" (Rickey) McKenzie, Bob's warmth and kindness extended to everyone who knew him. He was a beloved grandfather to Addison, Olivia, Samantha, Poppy, and great-grandfather to Mary Jane, Hudson, Remington, Gwendolyn, and Kairo, with whom he shared a special bond. Bob was known for his knee-slapping Dad jokes and gentle-handed nature, always teaching and engaging his grandchildren with warmth and fun. His family will cherish countless memories filled with laughter, learning, and love.

Bob had a lifelong passion for cars, owning 36 throughout his lifetime and taking great joy in washing them every day. His meticulous attention to detail was evident not only in his work but also in his hobbies, where he made each car shine with care.

His memory will live on in the hearts of many, including stepsons Dave and Stephen (Cathy), who, along with his grandchildren, will carry forward the legacy of love, humor, and family values he instilled in them.

Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Arthur McKenzie and Delores Edris (Horner) McKenzie, along with his brother Bill McKenzie.

Bob's life was a testament to resilience, dedication, and the cherished bonds of family. As we remember him, we celebrate the rich life he led, and the profound impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
