Robert Leroy Egler

Robert L. "Bob" Egler 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 8, 2014. He was born on April 21, 1927 in Howard County, Indiana to Alice and Oren Egler. Bob, a long-time employee of General Motors, was a talented and prolific woodcarver whose many subjects included the native birds he loved. Happiest working outside on landscaping projects or metal detecting he also enjoyed travel with his wife. Married to his beloved, Yvonne J. "Connie" Egler, for 63 years, he is survived by daughters Sharon Dean, Jill Baker, and Linda Rollins; grandchildren Kristin, Amanda, Derek and Hayley; two great-grandchildren Abrie and Cameron. A celebration of life service will be conducted at Robin Run Village 5354 West 62nd Street Indianapolis, IN 46268 on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 1 pm.
