Robert Lawson of Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2026, at 87 years of age. He was born on April 23, 1939, in Daisy, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Vadis (Johnson) Lawson. Robert’s faith played an important part of his life serving as a Pastor for numerous congregations for more than 40 years. The impact of Robert’s ministry has been profound, with many generations of believers having been blessed by his pastoral heart, his passionate preaching, and his loving care. As a result of his ministry, Robert received an honorary Doctorate of Ministry degree in 2012. Robert’s passions, beyond God and his family, were the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, and raising champion beagles.

He proudly served our country in the United States Army.

His legacy lives on in his survivors which include his loving wife, Bonnie M. (Carter) Lawson, his children, Aaron Lawson, Robert J.
