Robert L. Wonnell

Robert L. Wonnell, Jr. 65 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Friday, September 21, 2012. He was born on July 30, 1947 in Beech Grove, Indiana the son of Robert L. and Doris (Clark) Wonnell, Sr. Robert retired from the U S Army and served during the Viet Nam Era. He was awarded the Purple Heart. After his retirement from the Army he worked and retired from Veteran's Affairs. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel. Survivors: daughter, Jenny (Tom) Heckathorne; son, Robert F. Wonnell; 6 grandchildren, Thomas, Anthony and Troy Heckathorne, Robert, Rilyn and Russell Wonnell; sisters, Dottie Terry and Elaine; brother, Jim Bright; mother and step father, Doris (Jim) Bright. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:30 pm Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park 9350 E. Washington St. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:30 pm in the funeral center with Celebrant Mike Neff. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
