Robert L Smith

Of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the age of 87. Robert was born in Rush County, Indiana on February 23, 1932 to Youtsey and Ruth Smith.

Upon graduating High School, Robert joined the United States Air Force. He proudly served his Country for four years. After his service, he began working in the automotive industry as a machinist for Navistar to support his loving wife Casilda and their children.

Robert was a devoted Husband and Father throughout his lifetime and he will be missed by all who knew him. He was blessed with four children, Ruth, Robert, John, and Paul Smith; daughter-in-law Toni; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park North, 2707 Kessler Boulevard West Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46228 on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 12-2pm. Services will begin at 2 pm.
