Robert L. McHenry

Robert L. McHenry, 79, of Speedway, IN passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. He was born on April 13, 1931 and raised in Gosport, IN where he graduated from High School. Bob served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict and worked as a Contact Engineer for Allison Gas Turbine for 41 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 500, the VFW Post 98, AMVETS and the Speedway Masonic Lodge. Bob’s hobbies included fishing, golfing and airplane modeling. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice (Hunsicker) McHenry; sons, Michael (Marsha) McHenry of Speedway, IN and Larry McHenry of Tampa, FL. Bob is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Lindsey, Thomas and Melanie. Visitation for Bob will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Speedway on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 10 until 12noon, with the funeral service to begin at 12noon. Entombment will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
