Robert Keefe

June 27, 1930 — January 20, 2015

Robert J. Keefe: 84, of Columbus and formerly of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015, after a very brief illness. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to James and Marie Therese Keefe. Bob excelled at many sports, football in particular. He attended the University of Iowa and played for the Hawkeyes. This is where he also met his future wife, Marge, of 61 years. After graduation, Bob served as a captain in the U.S. Army. Two years of active duty (Viet Nam War) and 8 years in the National Guard. Bob was a family man, having 3 children with Marge, and a business owner as well. He was the owner of Tony's Trailers (Indianapolis) for almost 40 years. He was a loving husband and father who will be deeply missed by his family. Bob is survived by his wife, Marge Keefe; children Kim (Mark) Stephan, Chris (Kristi) Keefe, Lisa (Tom) Gaitsch, brother Father John Keefe CSC, and 8 grandchildren. Memorial visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Our Lady Of Mount Carmel, 14598 Oakridge Road, Carmel, IN. Memorial services will be Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the same location. Memorial contributions may be made to the U.S.O. Arrangements by and online condolences at flannerbuchanan.com
