Robert Jean Weaver

Robert Jean Weaver 88, of Indianapolis, died April 21, 2015. Bob was born on April 27, 1926 in New Berlin, IL to the late Roger Jacob and Georgeanne Lines Weaver. He was a graduate of Plainfield High School in 1944. He attended Purdue University for one year prior to enlisting in the Army Air Corps. Following service, he worked for RCA in various positions and later with Naval Avionics for 25 years, before retiring in 1985. In retirement, he stayed busy as a handyman at home and in the community. He was a member at Fairfax Christian Church and later Lakeview Christian Church, where he went on several mission trips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Rosemary and two brothers Rodney James and Dick Jay Weaver. He is survived by his sons Barry Weaver his wife Cynthia, Roger Weaver his wife Ivie, a daughter Janelle Arend, her husband Bill, 6 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and extended family. He was later married to Dorothy Olive Weaver, who also preceded him in death. Visitation will be held Friday 10am- 12noon at Flanner and Buchanan- Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd. with funeral services Friday at 12noon in the funeral center. Burial will follow the services in Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's memory to the Greater Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
