82, of Mooresville passed away on October 24, 2015. He was born in Lafayette, Indiana on January 31, 1933. He attended high school in Ridgeville, Indiana and went on to join the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956 during the Korean War.
Robert was the founder and owner of S & S Materials, a construction company. After selling his business, he became the general manager of the U.S. Aggregates in 1967. After semi-retiring, he continued as a consultant for the company. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge #533, Scottish Rite in Indianapolis, and a former member of the Indianapolis Murat Shriners club.
Robert and his wife, Mildred, moved to Florida in 1991 for nearly 20 years. Robert spent his free time doing what he loved, fishing.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife Mildred Simpson; one daughter and 3 grandchildren; sister, Alice (Keith) Cox; several nieces and nephews, as well as many devoted friends.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd., Fishers, with funeral services following at 1 p.m. Contributions may be made in his name to the Alzheimers Association.
