Robert H. Luther

Robert H. Luther 90, of Indianapolis, passed away March 1, 2012. He was born December 12, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Marie Luther. He graduated from Purdue University where earned and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Luther retired from Allison Transmission after 35 years of dedicated service. He also, proudly served the United States Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Luther. He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Lois L. (Hicks) Luther; daughters, Patricia (Michael) Hendershot and Theresa (Franklin) Smith; sister, Melba Simpson; granddaughter, Jennifer (Scott) Woodall; and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be Monday, March 5, 2012 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Nelson Chapel at Flanner and Buchanan- Speedway , 2950 N. High School Road. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2012 in the Nelson Chapel at Flanner and Buchanan- Speedway. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial may be made to Humane Society of Indianapolis.
