Robert F. Oldham

Robert F. Oldham, age 85, son of Clarence E. and Gladys M. Forsythe Oldham, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon. He spent his life serving others as nursing home administrator, Mason, Scoutmaster, minister, and friend. He lived 85 years loving everyone he met. Bob graduated from Purdue University and went on to work for Flanner and Buchannan Mortuaries. He later was the administrator at Julietta-Marion County Home for many years and ended his working career at Dreyer- Reinbold BMW. He was an Elder and 50 year member of Central Christian Church, a Stephen Minister with Orchard Park Presbyterian Church in Carmel, Indiana. He led his sons in Boy Scouting from Cub Scouts through Eagle Scouts and enjoyed every experience. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Isabelle and a son, John. Robert is survived by his wife Jan, former wife Kathleen Speicher, sons Bruce and Stephen, step children William Johnson, Stephanie Tolle, Jack and Megan Johnson, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A Celebration of Robert's life will be held Saturday November 16, 2013 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Franklin Park Church, 7001 S. Arlington Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46237. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East in charge of arrangements.
