Robert Eugene "Gene" Webster 84 of Noblesville died February 01, 2012. Gene was born March 31, 1927 in Noblesville to Paul Kilby and Bernice Eliza (Wolfgang) Webster. Gene graduated from Arsenal Technical High School class of 1945. Gene then served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII where he followed General MacArthur to Leyte Gulf in the Philippines and arrived just after the sinking of the USS Indianapolis. Gene then graduated from Purdue University with his BS in Agricultural Sciences in 1952. Gene was the district manager with The Charles Pfizer Inc. and regional manager with The Butler Co Veterinarian Pharmaceuticals for 25 years retiring in 1993. He was an Elder Emeritus and former Chairman of the Board and member of East 91st Street Christian Church where he was also involved in the churches move from East 49th Street to the present location of the church. Gene was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Hamke) Webster, and a brother Paul K. Webster Jr. Calling will be on Monday February 06, 2012 at East 91st Street Christian Church 6049 East 91st Street Indianapolis from 1 PM to the 2:30 PM followed by the service beginning at 2:30 PM. Gene is survived by his children Diana (Ted) Suchy, Marcia Henry and Lisa (Mark) Van Eaton and six grandchildren Matthew, Mark, Lisa and Lauren Suchy and Allison and Daniel Henry, a sister Marilynn (Don) Walls and a sister in law Ruth Webster. Entombment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Vincent Hospice or National Kidney Foundation or the church.
