Robert E. Hey

Robert E. Hey, 71 of Indianapolis passed away on May 6, 2016. He was born November 13, 1944 in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Robert was a member of the American Legion, VFW, DAV, 5th Division Society, and was a 20 year veteran of the Army.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Marilou Hey; children Robert Hey Jr. (Beth), James Hey (Tim), Kimberly Maffei, and Jennifer Stamm (Paul); 7 granddaughters Ashton Caton (Cade), Sydnee Maffei, Karlee Maffei, Hayley Stamm, Madison Hey, Mackenzie Stamm, and Lauron Hey; 2 great-grandchildren Briley and Brax Caton; and sisters Myrena Hawn (Linda) and Sheila Burrous. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Opal Hey, and sister Melba Van Duff.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11 from 5 to 8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 12 at 11 AM at Flanner and Buchanan – Geist with entombment following at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
