Robert E. Held

Robert E. Held, 91, of Indianapolis,, IN passed away February 13, 2017. Robert was born March 13, 1925 in Indianapolis the son of the late Frank C. and Caroline Anna Held. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, 1943, and was a Tool and Die Maker with Diamond Chain Company for 44 years. He was married for 68 years to the love of his life, Norma Jean Hammer on April 11, 1948. Robert served in the U.S Navy during World War II, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Area. He was a member of Ellenberger United Church of Christ.

Surviving is his wife, Norma Jean Held of Indianapolis, IN; sons, David B. Held (Stacy) of Fishers, IN, Rick E. Held (Paula) of Long Beach, CA and Charles E. Held of Fishers; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery in Camby, IN.
