Robert E. Evans 84, Indianapolis, passed away on October 12, 2010. Robert was born on November 10, 1925 in Indianapolis. He was a 1943 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. He received his B.S. and M.S from Indiana State University. He was a twenty year Air Force Veteran serving in both WW II and the Korean War. He was a Teacher and Coach at I.P.S. schools 52, 90, and 108 having taught history, geography and physical education. He was also the Athletic Director at Crispus Attucks High School. He was a member and past president of the Retired Officers Association, national coordinator for the 57th Bomb Wing Association. He was also a member of the Service Club of Indianapolis, the Air Force Association, IHSAA and American Legion Post 500. He is survived by his children; Bonnie Masters, Mark Evans, Scott Evans and Jon Evans, grandchild Bandy Evans and brother Don Evans. A celebration of life for Robert will be held at Primo South Conference Center, 2615 National Avenue, Indianapolis, IN on November 10, 2010 from 3 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers do a good deed. Burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, January 12, 2011 at 9:00 A.M. Arrangements handled by Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Speedway.
