Robert E. Douglas

Robert E (Bob) Douglas 89 passed away peacefully at his home on April 23, 2026. He was born Sept. 8, 1936 in Beech Grove, Indiana. He retired from the US Postal service after 33 years as a letter carrier. He was proceeded in death by his parents Emerson Newton Douglas and Bernice Elizabeth Douglas. He is survived by his wife Marcia A Douglas, sons Scott L Douglas and Craig A Douglas, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Bob was a 57 year member of the Masonic Lodge, and also a member of the Murat Shrine and Scottish Rite. He was an avid hobbyist of classic and collector cars, a member of the Indiana National Guard, and graduate of Shortridge High School class of 1954. Memorial contributions may be made to Murat Shrine Transportation. A visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN, 46229, on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 5:30PM-8:30PM. A funeral will be held the following day at 1PM. Bob will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
