Robert S. "Pop" Crouch entered eternal rest on May 20, 2024. Pop was born in Willisburg, KY, on September 2, 1924, and resided in Indianapolis, IN.

He was most proud of being Shirley's husband for 67 years, father of 3,  pappaw to 7, and great-grandpa to 11.   Just shy of 100 years old, Pop was a Master Gunnery Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving 41 years 11 months and 4 days. He is a survivor of the Battle of Iwo Jima.  He was a member of the North Liberty Christian Church for over 40 years, serving as a Deacon. Pop served as a volunteer firefighter with Wayne Twp. for 50 years, holding the position of Division Chief of Air Maintenance and was a member of the IVFA. He was a tool & die machinist for 32 years with Link-Belt/FMC.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made in his name to Misty Eyes Animal Center at 616 S County Road 800 Avon IN 46123 or Morgan County Humane Society at 690 W Mitchell Ave. Martinsville, IN 46151.
