He was bornAugust 24, 1926 in Burkesville, KY to the late Rosie M. (Taylor) and Willie C.Melton.

Robert issurvived by his daughter, Anna Petty; sons, Charles Melton; 17 grandchildren;13 step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

He waspreceded in death by his parents; Wife, Anna Lee Melton; 3 children, WillaCouch; Freddy and Eddie Melton and 1 granddaughter.

Visitationwill be 1 pm until service time at 3 pm Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North,2706 Kessler Blvd. West. Burial will follow in Washington Park North Cemetery.
