Robert “Bob”Charles Aulby

87, passedaway peacefully surrounded by beloved family on January 12, 2016 inIndianapolis, Indiana at Robin Run Skilled Nursing Health Center, Indianapolis,Indiana. Born February 10, 1928 in Shelbyville, Indiana to his parents, CharlesW. Aulby and Grace L. (Anders) Aulby. Robert was married to Martha “Marty” E.Meador of Indianapolis, Indiana on December 15, 1973.

Robert issurvived by his loving wife of 43 years Martha “Marty” E. Aulby, of Indianapolis,Indiana; daughters, Susan Morris (Dwight) Porshakin, of Jasonville, Indiana;Kimberly (Roger) Cox, of Jasonville, Indiana; Teresa Hutchison, of Shelbyville,Indiana; sister, Joan Fagel Durbin, of Shelbyville, Indiana; brothers, TomAulby and Rick Aulby, of Shelbyville, Indiana; grandchildren, Shane (Jamie)Floyd, of Westfield, Indiana; Staci Floyd (Joe) Hunter, of Jasonville, Indiana;Robin Loveless, of Shelbyville, Indiana, Becky (Randy) Jones, Shelbyville,Indiana, Amy Sandman, of Shelbyville, Indiana; Randy Willey, of Shelbyville,Indiana and 14 great grandchildren; cousins, Mary Lou McClure and Carl Wemple,of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mr. Aulbyhad great passion, interest and love for family, Indianapolis Colts, IndianaPacers, IU Basketball, coin collecting, traveling, gardening and walking. Heattended Shelbyville High School then, at age 18, joining the army in 1946 andwas a WWII Veteran. Afterwards, Mr. Aulby enjoyed a 37-year career with DetroitDiesel Allison in Indianapolis where he retired as lab manager for metallurgiesdevelopment. He also supported and became a member of the American Legion.

He ispreceded in death by his, father and mother; brothers, Jack Aulby and James“Jim” Aulby, sisters, Mary Witt, Jean Clapp and Linda Wickliff.

Family and Friends may call from 12:00pm-2:00pm Saturday,January 16, 2015 with funeral service at 2:00pm in Flanner andBuchanan-Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis.
