Bobby 'The Bug Man' - Robert Fortner
75, of Indianapolis, passed away October 12, 2013. He was born July 8, 1938 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Charles and Ethel Fortner.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Bonnie Fortner; sons, Steven Fortner and Christian Fortner; grandsons, Kass Fortner, Gage Fortner, Christopher Lovell and Brock Lovell, sisters, Rose Shaffer and Judy Devers; brothers, Ralph Fortner and Carl Fortner, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his step son, Erik Lovell and brother, Charles Fortner.
Robert, also known as "The Bug Man," has been in Pest Control for over 60 years. He spent 33 years as a supervisor at Circle City Pest Control. He was the Founder of Faith Pest Management Corp. Robert was a member of the Indiana Pest Mgmt. Association and the National Pest Mgmt. Association. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. There will also be visitation on Thursday morning from 10-11 AM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the American Heart Association.
