Robert "Bob" Samuel Ellison Jr. 68 of Indianapolis died December 23, 2014. Bob was born on May 21, 1946 to Robert Samuel and Geneva Josephine (McDaniel) Ellison Sr. Bob served our country in the US Army. He was a member of the Speedway United Methodist Church. Bob worked for Link Belt before working for Indiana National Bank for 30 years in the Visa Department. Then he went to work for the Indianapolis Zoo on West Washington Street in Security and then Robin Run Village Security Department before retiring. Bob was also a Yellow Shirt at the IMS for 25 years. He was a member of the Evergreen-Oriental Masonic Lodge No. 500 F and AM and the Oriental Chapter Order of DeMolay. Calling will be held on Monday December 29, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway from 3 to 8 pm with Funeral Services on Tuesday December 30, 2014 at 10 am. Bob is survived by his wife Marjorie Ann "Margie" (Vehling) Ellison who he married on March 13, 1971 in Indianapolis. He is also survived by their children Wendy J. Ellison and Jason L. Ellison and his brother Jim Ellison and a sister in law Linda Vehling, a niece Tammy Hardcastle and several great nieces and nephews and cousins. Entombment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to either the American Lung or Heart Association, or National Kidney Foundation or to Speedway United Methodist Church.
