Robert 'Bob' K. Trent

Robert Kerr Trent, Jr., 61, Indianapolis, passed away March 15, 2014. He was born January 21, 1953 in Indianapolis to Robert K. Trent, Sr. and Thelma M. (Miller) Trent. Bob was a proud graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, graduating in the class of 1971. He worked at Naval Avionics/Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon Technical Services for nearly 29 years. Bob was a member of the American Federation of Government Employees AFL-CIO Local 1744. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert K. Trent, Sr. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Henriette (Banta) Trent; his mother, Thelma M. Trent; his daughter, Gina Godwin; his son, Robbie Trent; his granddaughters, Lauren and Jacqueline; his sister, Teresa Bailey; his brothers, Mike, Les (Debbie), Tracy (Lynn), and Kendall Trent; his step-children, Jody A. (Fox) Wilson and Shane M. Pierce (Angee); his step-grandchildren, Cody, Trae, Mercedes, Trevor, Jude, Emma, Nina, and Eleanor; his step-great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Carley; his father-in-law, Don E. Banta; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws. Services will be on Friday, March 21 at 2 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 20 from 4-8 PM, and also on Friday from 1-2 PM at the funeral center. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
