Robert Earl Calvert was born on August 13th, 1933, to Oma and Earl Calvert, in Indianapolis Indiana. He was a proud Eagle Scout. He attended George Washington High School before serving in the United States Navy. He was a gunner on the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany during the Korean War. He returned to marry his beautiful wife, Emma Lou Calvert. They had 2 children Teresa and Gary. He delivered mail for the Speedway Post Office for 35 years before retiring. He passed away on September 30th, 2022. He is survived by his wife Emma Lou Calvert, Daughter Teresa Estes (Tice), Son Gary Calvert (Robin), 4 Grandchildren Shawn, Bobby, Courtney and George, 13 Great Grandchildren Alexis, Cash, Skyla, Trista, Mason, Dane, Javin, Juno, Nora, Silas, Enoch, Avram, Xavier. He also had 1 Brother (Donald) and 3 Sisters Nancy, Betty, and Earlene. There will be a celebration of life for Bob on Saturday October 15th from 12-2pm with a service to start at 2pm. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you make a donation to a charity of your choice. Service will be held at the Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Home in Speedway.
