Robert (Bob) C. Clancy, age 83 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully in his home on December 13th, 2020 surrounded by his beloved family. He will be greatly missed by the many people who love him. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and always said that his family was his greatest accomplishment in his life. He was a strong man of faith and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Bob founded Emerson Bookbinding in 1974 and retired in 2016. Emerson is still successfully operating under his son, Bob Jr. He enjoyed spending time working in his yard, walking his dog Molly, watching Notre Dame and Colts football.
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda; children, Cynthia (Don) Hughett, Victoria (Gary) Goins, Robert (Jenny) Clancy, Shawn Clancy, Joe (Linda) Banayote, Rob (Julie) Banayote; Michele LaCluse, Niece Kim Smith, 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great niece.
Bob was preceded in death by parents, Donald & Francis Clancy, brother Donnie and sister Bonnie.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on East 10th Street from 1-2:00 with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 2:00. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
