Robert A Hopkins

Robert A. Hopkins peacefully passed away at his residence on May 3, 2020, with his love, Helen, by his side.  Born on June 23, 1920 to parents Carry and Maude Hopkins, Robert was a Marine Corp Veteran of World War II, a member of Mooresville American Legion #103 and Valley Mills Christian Church and was retired from Anacomp.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn, son Larry N. Hopkins, and four brothers and six sisters.  He is survived by his life partner of 29 years, Helen S. Partlow,  his daughter Sallie Wynn, daughter-in-law Brenda Hopkins, grandchildren Gregg (Laura) Hopkins, Melissa (Ken) Carlton, Benjamin Rensink, Mary Rensink, Emerson Rensink, and Amy (Ryan) Burklow, great grandchildren Bobby (Tracy) Hopkins, Amanda Kotecki, and Matthew Hopkins, and great-great grandchild Alison Brooke Hopkins.  Helen’s family includes Keila (Les) Smith, Norma Partlow, Kail Smith, and Great Grandpa Bob’s special baseball player, Bud Keegan Smith.  They both loved to talk about Keegan’s games.  Great Grandpa wouldn’t miss a game and Keegan always looked for Great Grandpa.

The family would like to give a thank you to VA Grace Care and Intrepid Hospice Care with special mention of Carolyn, Margaret, Melissa, and Shane and to Denise Abel who Robert thought of as a daughter.

There will be a private graveside service in Hillsboro, Ohio.
