Rita Jean Lawson

79, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 19, 2016. Rita was born on October 11, 1937 in Jellico, TN to the late Andrew and Maude (Braden) Brock. A devoted wife and mother, she dedicated her life to her family. In addition to raising her family, she worked as a nurse aide for Frame Nursing Home for many years. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and was a member of the VFW. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest R. Lawson and many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children Scott (Lana) Lawson, David Lawson, Darlene (Robert) Kellar, Pamela (Mike) Hash, a sister Uela Mae Buckner, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday Nov. 23rd at 3:00pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Floral Park, with visitation Wednesday from 12noon until time of the services.
