Rita E. Morrison

On Sunday, August 15, 2021, Rita Eileen Morrison passed away at the age of 68. Rita was considered a unique and remarkable person by all who knew and loved her.

Rita was born in Indianapolis, IN in 1952 to Vernon and Treva (Reynolds) Morrison. She had one brother, Robert (Bob) Morrison.

In 1978, Rita married her high school sweetheart, Kerry Klohr and they remained married for the rest of her life.

Rita started her career right after graduating from Broad Ripple High School in 1970. She became part of a new wave of hairdressers emphasizing precise cutting of hair, rather than sets, while working with John Halal in the early 1970’s. For many years she operated her own salon, RITA & CO., on West 71st. street.

Rita had many hobbies, most prominently golf and bird watching. Rita was an avid music lover and attended many concerts over the decades. She was known for her quick wit and wicked sense of humor.

Rita is survived by her husband Kerry, her brother Bob and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. She will truly be missed by all.

Calling will be held at Flanner Buchanan-Broad Ripple on Friday August 27 from 3PM until 7PM.
