Riley Gerry Stewart
79, of Indianapolis passed away on May 13, 2015. He was born on June 10, 1935 to the late Argie and Helen Stewart. He was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. Riley was a proud U.S. Army veteran, he was a dedicated Police Officer and had served with IMPD for 37 years, retiring in 1998. He was a devoted member of the American Legion Post 88, Fraternal Order of Police, National Rifle Association, Scottish Rite, Southport Masonic Lodge, Murat Police Club and the Republican National Committee. Riley was a faithful donor and volunteer of his time to the Human Society, Special Olympics, Antelope Anglers, ASPCA, Lakota Sioux Indians, Dream Center, Shriners, Free Mason, Feed the Children and the Audubon Society. He was a loving, caring, generous individual, whose happy heart and cheerful ways will be missed by all that were blessed to know him. He was a soldier in life and now a soldier for God. A beautiful light that will always shine in our hearts forever. Riley is survived by his daughters; Kele L. (Fabrizio) Stewart – Volpino and Kimberly A. Stewart.
