Rick R. Abney

Rick R. Abney, 62, of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away September 5, 2021. He was born in Tacoma, Washington to William Robert Abney and Helen Grace (Hatfield) Abney. Rick was a City Truck Driver for FedEx for over 10 years before he retired. He enjoyed spending time with his family camping, fishing and when he was younger, riding motorcycles. Rick was a member of the Connection Pointe Church in Brownsburg, Indiana. He is survived by his loving wife Robbin A. (Bryant) Abney, son Rhett A. Abney, mother Helen Abney Houston, brothers Nick and Bruce Abney and a host of nieces, nephews, and his extended family. He was preceded in death by his father William Robert Abney, and his sister Shelley Abney Carnahan. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township with his Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. He will be laid to rest 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at IOOF Cemetery, 7490 Waverly Road, Waverly, Indiana where a graveside service will be held.
