Richard W. "Dick" Kirkham went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 25, 2014. Dick was born to Clarence "Howard" and Ruby Kirkham on May 14, 1929 in Milwaukee, WI. He worked for Naval Avionics as an electrical engineer for 34 years. Dick graduated from Tech High School and Purdue University. He was in the National Guard, 38th Division for eight years as a radio repairman. Dick loved working in his yard, garden and greenhouse, and loved playing dominoes with his family. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband. Dick is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Kirkham; his daughters, Debbie Harrison (Tom), and Sonita Harrison (Roger); his son, Steven R. Kirkham; his daughter-in-law, Janet Kirkham; his grandchildren, Crystal Harrison-Smelser (Robert), Michael Harrison, Morgan Harrison, and Andrew Kirkham; his great-granddaughter, Caroline Smelser; his brother, Norman Kirkham (Frances); his step-grandchildren, Erica, Caleb, Ben, and Brittany; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family who will cherish his memory, his generosity, and his love for his family. Services will be on Tuesday, December 30 at 1 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street. Visitation will be on Monday, December 29 from 4-8 PM, and also on Tuesday from 12 PM until service time. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
