Richard Taylor

Richard A. Taylor, 83, of Indianapolis, died July 10, 2014. He was born September 23, 1930 in Thorntown, IN the son of Ralph and Byrul (Joseph) Taylor. He was a US Marine Corp. Veteran of the Korean War having served on the USS Coral Sea. He retired from Material Control at Allison Transmission Division of GMC in 1985 after 35 years. He loved all sports and was a NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Taylor and sister, Naomi Puckett. Richard is survived by his wife, Olvena (Jarrett) Taylor; his son, Todd R. Taylor and his wife Ann; 1 grandchild and 3 great- grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 15, 2014, Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral center. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
