R. Scott Snyder

Richard Scott Snyder of Fishers, IN, passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 61. He was born in North Manchester, IN, on June 4, 1962, to parents, Patrick Snyder and Crystal (Knauff) Stalnaker. 

To meet “Scotty” was to know true kindness and friendship.  You would be immediately drawn to him by his electric personality.   He loved nothing more than to spend time with his family.  His daughters, Carley and Leah-Catherine, and his granddaughter, Lanore Moudy, will ALWAYS be the apple of his eye!

Meeting his new wife in 2019 began a newer-found zest for life, with a perfected, blended family.  He adored Samantha, Jenna, Aaron, and Alex as if they were his own.

Scott was the rock, emotionally and physically, that made our house a home.  If it were broken, he could fix it!

Scott was passionate about all outdoor activities.  Fishing and hunting with his friends of 30+ years in the UP, Canada, and at the Horn family farm were at the top-of-the-list! Scott will be missed immensely.

Scott married Deborah “Debbie” (Neyhart) on November 13, 2021 and they spent five wonderful years together, she survives. He is survived by his mother, Crystal Stalnaker; children, Carley (Kyle) Moudy, Leah-Catherine Snyder, Samantha (Aaron) McDonald, Jenna (Alex) Aspinwall; grandchildren, Lanore Moudy, Kyla and Eli McDonald; brother, Nick Snyder; nephew and niece, Lucas and Annalise Snyder. He was preceded in death by his father; and step-son, Alexander Grusak.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10am, Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held directly following the Funeral Service from 11am until 3pm, April 11, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN).
