Richard S. "Dick" Baugh, 86, passed away April 14, 2014. He was born on December 6, 1927 in Indianapolis, the son of Frank and Alean (Hodson) Baugh. Dick attended Purdue University. He worked at Peerless Pump for 25 years and B.S.I. for 17 years. Dick was a member of Linwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for 60 years. He was a 63 year member of the Englewood Masonic Lodge #715 F. & A.M., the Murat Shrine, and the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. He was also a 50 year member of the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Dick was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Baugh. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Baugh; his son and daughter-in-law, David & Betty Baugh; his daughter and son-in-law, Diana & Pete Steitz, Beaumont, TX; his grandchildren and their spouses, Tim & Crystal Baugh, Christopher & Jesi Baugh, and Ryan Steitz and Dean Steitz, both of Seattle, WA; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be on Thursday, April 17 at 10:30 AM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 16 from 4-8 PM, with Masonic rites at 7:30 PM. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Linwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) or Children's Dyslexia Centers, Inc. – a Scottish Rite Charity, or the Indiana Masonic Home Dementia Care Unit Fund.
