Richard Ross Huston

Richard R. Huston, age 67, of New Palestine. Indiana, went to be with the Lord, April 11, 2026. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 2, 1959, to Richard and Patricia Huston. He graduated from John Marshall High School and then earned an associates degree from Vincennes University. Rich then obtained a bachelor's degree from IUPUI. Rich then obtained a JD from IU School of Law. He provided thirty-four years of distinguished service to the law and his clients, retiring from RevOne in January. He married the love of his life Ruthann (Gasaway) April 30 of 1994. Rich enjoyed travelling the world and was an avid cruiser. He also enjoyed attending sporting events and was able to attend a Superbowl for the Colts as well as the IU National Championship game. Rich was a loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle and son.

Rich is preceded in death by his loving parents Richard and Patricia (Utley) Huston. He is survived by his wife Ruthann Huston; siblings Alyson (Rocky) Clements, Jim (Christy) Huston, Paul Huston, and in-laws Richard (Linda) Gasaway, Clint (Jean) Gasaway, and many loving family members.

Visitation for Rich will take place Friday, April 17, 2026, from 5:00-8:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Home, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. Another short visitation from 11-12 and a funeral service at 12:00pm will follow on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Old Bethel United Methodist Church, 7995 E 21st St, Indianapolis, IN 46219. Family invites those attending to celebrate Rich's life by wearing IU colors or attire. Burial will take place on Monday, April 20, 2026.
