RICHARD LEON RASDELL (Dickie), was born January 23, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of Robert Earl and Georgia Mae Rasdell. Richard was the only son born into a loving family which included 4 sisters. His parents and sister Phyllis Wesley preceded him in death.
In 2002, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Brenda Rogers Dickey Brown. A Friendship since childhood that spanned over 70+ years.
Richard was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School. As an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force, Richard served his country, during the years of, June 20, 1960 through August 20,1964 as a Fuel Specialist.
Richard retired from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), in New York, NY after many years as a Manhattan borough bus driver. In his spare time, Richard loved fishing, playing cards and enjoyed watching all types of sports.
Richard has been a member of Light of the World Christian Church since 2003.
Richard was a loving husband, father and brother, whose presence will sorely be missed by both family and friends.
MR. RICHARD LEON RASDELL departed this earthly life, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent - Heart Center, Carmel. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 23 years Brenda Rasdell. Sisters: Deborah Rasdell-Heyer, Linda Neal (Anthony), Stephanie Rasdell-Rasnic (Steve), Children: Gregory Rasdell (Tina), Romero Rasdell, Theresa Whittington, Mark Rasdell, Mornez Rasdell, Monique Williams (Quincy), Erica Rasdell (Kaissime). Stepson: Norman Clark (Mary). Fourteen grandchildren, two step grandchildren. Nine great - grandchildren and one stepchild, one great - great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Repass immediately after service, on site.
